If you are going on vacation and would like to lose a few pounds, exercise is the best way to do this. Exercise may not sound like a lot of fun, but there are fun ways you can work the pounds off, two of which are listed below. 

Take a Dance Class

Taking a dance class can be a lot of fun but also give you some great exercise. This does depend on the type of dance classes you take, however. Ask some of your friends to go with you to make things even more fun for you. 

One dance class that would be great for weight loss is Zumba. This type of dance is fast-paced and works much like aerobics. This not only helps you lose weight but is also good for your heart. Zumba can help strengthen your legs, abdominals, and arms, as well as tone your body. Go to the Zuma class a few times per week to get the best benefit for weight loss. Zumba is something you can do alone, too, so you won't have to worry about having a partner. 

Salsa is another fun dance type that you can do. This does involve having a partner, however. During the dance, you will do a lot of fast swirling, bending, shaking your hips, and swaying. This helps firm your bottom, as well as your abdominal area. Your legs will also get a great workout, causing muscles to build up to replace fat. Do this dance with your partner for approximately an hour a few times per week.

Go Swimming

If you enjoy swimming, this is a great way to lose weight. There are likely gyms in your area that have indoor/outdoor pools or there may be a community pool. If it is in your budget and there is enough room, this would be a good time to get a new pool for you and your family. 

Swimming helps you lose weight because it burns calories quickly. You use a lot of muscle in your body to swim, so this can also help strengthen your arm and leg muscles. You do need to swim to lose calories and not simply float around and swim slowly in the water. 

There may be swimming classes that are given for weight loss in your area. If not, do some research to learn the types of swimming that you should do. In most cases, traditional swimming works great. Take a few laps of the pool each time you go until you get tired. 

There are many more fun ways you can lose weight, such as playing tennis, going hiking, and playing frisbee in your yard.
